so yea i was hoping to build a 360 with close to 350-400lb-ft of tq is it posible and if so what do i need to make thing happen and would like it at lower rpms

very easy and doable with simple mods like a cam and intake.

what size of cam??? i dont really want to go toooo big

should be able to do it with a mild cam like a performer or RV cam. these engines made over 300ft-lbs from the factory and really respond well to mods. just about any cam grinder can recommend a cam that will work well with whatever mods you want to make to the motor and for your intended use. I have an Engle cam in my 304 and it makes great torque from idle to 4500rpm. http://englecams.com/catalog/search_results.php

The 360 we rebuilt for our CJ5 was from an 88 Grand Wagoneer. Installed a Competition Cam 268H street cam (mild) with timing set. Plenty of torgue up to 5000 rpm.

My old Wagoneer had the Summit 8600 in it and it had GOBS or torque. Id suggest that.
