I purchased a (rebuilt) 360, and have taken everything off execpt the heads and internals. Found the Cam gear was chewed up. Note there are only 50 miles if not less on this motor. I cleaned up the flashing in the top timing sprocket. The next step is to put the oil pan back on and fill with oil and prime the pump and make sure oil is getting to the dizzy and cam gears. I'm not sure what cam is in this engine eighter. When Priming the oil pump how much oil should I see at the cam gear? I will not have the fuel pump on so I can see.

it should be a pretty good drizzle it probably wont be spraying out. If the dizzy gear got chewed up it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to pull a main cap and make sure you didnt roach your bearings with gear filings.
