Before I start my rebuilt 360, I had a question.
I had got the motor off of Craigslist, 79 with Bridged rockers.
I had gotten a set of your push rods with the small holes to use, but when I went to install them, they seemed too long.
The cam is a Crane RV pretty much stock.
I used an adjustable push rod to measure , I forget the measurement, but it was shorter than stock.
The lifter was set with a pre load of .020 or the recommended pre load. I'm not sure if my . is in the right spot.
My main question, should I have shimmed under the bridge?
I figured the shortness is because the heads and block were surfaced.
I would like to find out before I start it and mess things up.
I also put your HRC gears in it, and I didn't measure the pressure yet, but I can tell that with my drill hooked up and prelubing, The difference in the load on the drill motor is amazing , Way less load with your gears then stock.
Also using your nickel plated oil filter adapter and your improved midplate for use with the swinging pickup.
