cooling system question

I am hooking up a mojave heater in my cj5 with a 401. I am wondering which heater line to run to the in/out ports on the heater. I am thinking the line from the water pump goes to intake and the one at the back of the intake goes to the outlet port. Would this be correct?

Also, I put in a high flow thermostat and high flow water pump and I can't seem to get it to the motor to get past 165. I am pretty sure I put in a 180 thermostat. Has anyone had problems with these high flow parts?

You got that right... waterpump = in .... out= back of the intake
