This is more for the high mileage people, or those that have started running motors that have been sitting. I had no flow through my heater core, pulled the pump and had an impeller that was worn flat.

The pics on this IFSJA thread looks nearly the same, that's what got me thinking as my temp seemed low after a new stat, along with poor to no heat after playing with heater cores.

Looks like someone missed the last 3 or 10 coolant changes since it was new.

I changed mine when I got it 2 years ago, before that it sat, I don't know how long, a lot of the other stuff looked well maintained on the truck, but not this I guess.

?
When changing out the H20 pump should one go w/a stock or a high volume pump. Me I prefer the stock but I'm a 258 guy so a little help would be great cause my 360 build has been siting for 3yrs.

Thanks,
Jim
