i am planing on mounting a remote mount turbo setup. the company i am heavily considering is the STS. http://www.ststurbo.com/

what all would i need to do to my 360 to make sure is can handle the abuse of a turbo producing anywhere from 6-probably the max of around 9psi?

I really have no experience with turbos, but here are my thoughts.

Most of the abuse from boost is on the pistons/rods, so I'd go with forged pistons and have the stock rods cleaned and shot peened, or get aftermarket H-beam rods. I'd clean it up with a fresh bore. Use some stainless valves to handle the additional heat, and have the heads ported so they can move the extra air. Have the whole rotating assembly balanced. A cam with a turbo grind would be the final thing.

keep compression reasonable. I would stick near stock levels.

Double posing???? Do a site search for 'turbo' and see the other guys that have done this with DO's and DON'Ts. I posted the same answer in your other post too.

As for an AMC turbo cam, Crower has a Turbomaster grind available.

Mike Gardner here in Michigan, who dragged the twin turbo 390 AMX has swapped the 390 out for a stock 304, which he is boosting to around 9-10 psi on a STOCK 304 motor ... and loving it on the streets.
