Hey guys,
Got a quick question to see what cylinder pressures you guys with racing engines are running?

We’re getting ready to put together my 304 stroker on Friday, which will be either 9.78 or 9.86:1 compression, depending on head gaskets used.

I have engineered it to be a 10:1 engine that acts like a 12:1 motor, and so worked with Comp Cams to chose a 256/268 duration cam that would generate more cylinder pressure.

With the ROL Xtreme head gaskets, I end up with 9.78:1 compression (58-cc heads) and 215 psi cylinder pressure.

With Felpro 304 Hyperblue head gaskets, I end up with 9.86:1 compression (58-cc heads) and 220 psi cylinder pressure.

So, what kind of cylinder pressure are you guys getting with the higher compression (11-12:1) race engines with longer duration cams?

Thanks for the feedback.

401 = 12:1 = 240 psi /solid cam/246/250

401 = 12:1 = 240 psi /solid cam/246/250

Thanks for posting your specs ... what fuel are you running with that compression and PSI? Thx.
