1969 AMX STOLEN

Some one stole my newly redone 1969 AMX out of my drive way some time between 12 midnight and 8 AM this morning. Looks like it was a professional planned job , as the
ignition switch seems to have been pulled as we found the metal ring with the key hole slot from the front of the lock cylinder laying on the ground this morning when I was looking over the area with the local Nye County Deputy Sheriff. Car has VIN number A9C397X115799 and is painted Viper red with black racing stripes, black front 70 Trans-Am spoiler , and rear black 70 Donahue spoiler, with black painted AMX circle, and Trend Setter side exhaust, Edelbrock Multipoint Fuel Injection system on build 390 V-8 with built TF-727 automatic transmission, Ford Lincoln Versailles 9 inch rear end with four wheel disk brakes, red loop pile carpet, black interior with red Pacer bucket seats and B&M shifter mounted on the console. Case # 09-0249 if you see the car contact me or the NYE County Nevada Sheriff's Department at (775) 751-7000 . thanks,
Larry R. Daum, mramc ; mramc @pahrump.com phone (775)513-8112.

I read on the AMC forum that it was recovered yesterday in Las Vegas. It has been stripped, and is un-drivable  The owner was headed there to assess the damage.

I think a good knee capping is in order for the person who took it :werecomingforyou: :kamahlitude2:

Personally I'd skip the knee capping and go right for the removal of the guys little willy, and maybe a finger or two.

Screw THAT the a$$hole can live without his "willie" - forfeit the perps life (and we are ass/u/me-ing a guy)!!! That is totally un-called for. The B*stard needs to be terminated. :2gunfire:

Man, I'm sorry for your loss, that was a hell of a rebuild! Hope you can recoupe the means necessary to make it right. I am soooo bumbed

This link will take you to the page with the "after" shots.

Sounds by his description of the missing parts that what's missing was taken for another AMX. Watch the car shows and cruises this summer out there in the Southwest for am AMX with a fresh engine with fuel injection and A/C.

Are there serial numbers or anyting we can look for?

The serial number for the Edelbrock Pro-Flow series 1 Fuel injection system is : 011556 and is model no. 3531 for the the 1970 and up heads as I put Nascar "X" Rebel Machine type 291-C heads on the car, so the heads were a latter style choice head casting.

Lots of AMX/Javelin specific parts taken - hood hinges, exhaust, trim pieces. That just sucks.....

Larry did list the S/N for the Edelbrock Pro-flow on page 5. BUT, if the perp reads any of these forums, he knows what to remove now. At least the Edelbrock systems aren't that popular, since they are expensive. Should be easy to spot.
