I purchased a filter adapter from Bulltear and it came minus the bolt/cap that holds the relief plunger/spring combo in the side of the adapter.

Can I just cut a bolt down to work? Im pretty sure the length of the bolt/cap is somewhat critical for the tension of the spring/plunger, so does anybody know the length of this bolt/cap...so I can fab a new one?

Or (even better) does somebody have one they can part with? :-|

the bolt/cap isnt flush on the inside its recessed to allow the spring to seat in it and be cenered. Take the one out of your old adapter if you still have it or post an ad in the wanted section, there was a guy looking for one not too long ago and one of the members may have mentioned he had several of them. MC may even give you one cause it didnt come with one but maybe it should have

Thanks for the info. I was able to find one here locally and you're right, the cap is recessed. I would have had to cut a bolt down and then hollow it out with a drill press to about 1/4" deep. :?:
