I have the serp system and was wondering what everyone was using as far as an alternator? I bought a Powermaster alt. and the shaft is too large (40 thousands) difference. I would like to know what everyone is using. I tried the pulley on 2 of the donor motors that I have and it did not fit either one? Thanks!

One is a 5/8 (.625) keyway. The other is a .669 alternator pulley. Because of the mix and matching that so many jeeps and AMC cars have over the years you could have either. 5/9 keyway is the most common. Now that you have a powermaster are the cooling fins sticking out past where the shaft meets the center of the cooling fins? There are 4 different alternator styles out there.

MC,
I got my SERP but it's been in the shop waiting attention. Time I haven't had.

Just thought I'd let you know

I also have the same problem with my power master alternator. I believe I need the .669 alternator pulley and yes my cooling fins stickout past where the shaft meets the center of the cooling fins. offset approx .115
