I am trying to find a spare set of axles shafts. The axle is a full floater quatratrack out of a 1975 J20.

I have a mid 70's d60 out of a q-trac j20 but post up a pic so I know exactly what you mean by "full float" axle shafts. Mine bolt to the hub/drum assembly (which is semi-float IIRC).

I would love to post a picture but I can't figure out how to do it. It has got to be the same axle. It has 8 bolts at the end of the axle shaft that bolt to the hub. If you remove those 8 bolts the shaft slides out without even removing the wheels. Isn't that what a full floater axle is? There is now weight on the axle shafts themelves.

If its that same axle how much do you want for the shafts?[/img]

I made a couple of calls to some bodies of mine. My axle is a full floater. If your axle is a full floater the next thing is the diff affset to one side?

I need to take a look in the shed, I think I had the shafts here yet from a 75 with a QT.

Thats how mine are...just as you described. It is a quadratrac style offset to the pass side. The reason I asked is I've seen a "full-float" axle that had an axle shaft splined at both ends with a bolt-on drive hub. (yes, a rear axle). Anyway, PM me with an offer.

Mine bolt to the hub/drum assembly (which is semi-float IIRC).

No, that's a full-floater. A splined outer end would also be a full-floater, just one that uses a drive slug or lockouts.

A semi-floater is basically every other rear that Jeep used with a flange on the end of the axle that has the lug studs in it.
