Just thought I would give a little info about what I ended up with while going through the set up process on my Holley for an: amc 360 with a 9:1 compression and a comp 260H cam.

First: there is no way that this carb would have worked properly out of the box.

Stock..25cc accel pump

Stock...o65 power valve

#62 jets in primary (#68 stock)

#74 jets in secondary (#89 stock)

silver(plain) secondary spring (nothing lighter)

red or orange cam on position #1 (light vehicles)

.031 pump discharge nozzles (.028 stock?)

Keep the floats level and the fuel beow the sights for the best offroading.

Distributer adv. @8-10*

I live at 3,700 ft. and although Holley recommended downsizing to #64 I found #62 to work best. #89 jets for the secondary are silly.

While I only see 14-15" of vacuum at Idle, the performance both on and off road is excellent. Idle at severe angles is constant, and engine restarts without floooding.

Hope this helps someone else, as I had to go through many trial and errors to find out these basics.

I've read that Holleys come out of the box jetted for 70 degrees and sea level. you need to drop at least 1 jet size for every 2000 feet of elevation gain, and more for cooler temps.

On my 600, I went down 4 sizes on the mains and 6 sizes on the secondaries when I moved to Denver from Chicago.
