Hi, how much spacing does this adapter give? I have a GenIII 360 that I would like to use my old style th400 with (about 2" bellhouse spacer). Is this the right adapter to use with an early flat flexplate to keep the torque convertor pump properly seated? I believe I need approximately 7/8-1". I have been reading forum after forum and have had no luck finding a reliable source for this part. Thank you for any information.

The bronze spacer is for adapting an older 67-69 crank to a newer flywheel/manual transmission. The old nailhead bolt pattern TH400s are impossible to get a flexplate for. Your better off with a newer case TH400 from 1973-1979

Thank you. I was beginning to suspect that may be the case. If anyone has the crank spacer and flat flexplate they are willing to part with PM me please and thank you. I have a new case th400, but I don't have the correct adapter for the transfer case I have for my project, so I guess if anyone knows a good one that wont break the bank PM that too, thanks again. Never an easy solution lol.

It is a dana 300. I am thinking of having a transmission guy swap everything from the old case to the new and rebuilding it while he's in there. Should solve all my problems.
