I'm planning on swapping out intakes next week, to a performer, and a small holley 450, (it was a nos marine carb)
Since I'm in there was thinking about ordering a camshaft.
First choice was a Summit K8600, but afraid its a bit much.
Then was looking at this.
Sealed Power Replacement Hydraulic Cam and Lifter Kits KC-1026R
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/slp-kc-1026r/overview/
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 204 int./214 exh.
.448/.472 lift i/e. 110 degree.
With a little less duration than the 8600 and closer lobe seperation (112)
I figured it would be a nice upgrade from stock and still give torque for towing/4x4'ing.
Its a 86 Grand Wagoneer with the awful 2.73 gears.
Dual 2.5" exhaust, flowmasters, stock manifolds.
Any more suggestions while I'm in there?

The 8600 is a good cam. AMC engines like to breathe. I ran a Edelbrock Performer 2132 cam for years on my CJ rock crawler. It has the identical specs as the Sealed Power. It would pull stumps at idle, but fell on it's face over 5000 RPM. With LSA, the lower the number, the lumpier the idle will be. 112 will have a smoother idle than 110.
