yup i found one in the pile, a international 401 as far as i can tell it was painted red, the IH 401 is cool because they used a very thick dipstick and a long dipstick tube that wraps around the drivers side valve cover, i am not sure what years these 401's came, i believe it was 74-76. If you guys ever see a AMC v8 in an old international thats would be a 401, NAB IT they are gold these days, this one had high compression i believe it to be 9.5-1 which means flat top piston or slightly dished, VERY COOL

and they came in everything bigger than the Scout. Travelalls, trucks, School busses had em. but its more likely that youll find a 345 or a 392. Heavy, Rugged, and long lived. If you find a 401 in a bus you might as well grab the whole thing, including the gearbox, if it has an SAE bellhousing adpater, 401, Clark 5 speed, NP 205 Killer rigging for a jeep. especially if you like to over do it with that tall skinny thing on the floor.
