You asked...
Vent control module (non-A/C) 87 YJ
Tach for the 87
Drive shafts (you have the specs on those)
Diagram for the vent cables that go with the vent contol module,

That'll get the Jeep running

Also need a winch for the Dodge (behind the bumper) 12K + cap with roller fairlead.

Could use one for my 85 too :D

NP231 t-case :?: :?:

Yup, 231. Called Tom Woods today and got the tracking number. UPS said the kit will be here on the 8th. If we don't get rain next weekend, I'll be putting th SYE and rear shaft in. I need shafts for the front YJ and both shafts for the 85 CJ.

From an earlier post:
A) The front shaft for the 87 YJ (NP 231, 1" skid plate drop): running length is 41.375 cntr to cntr with about 8-9 degree angle, stock U-Joints weight on the wheels. The drive shaft is 38.25 & 41.25 (coll/extended)
B) I ordered the AdvAdapt 231 slip yoke eliminator kit today with a Tom Woods CV joint rear shaft (rear shaft has a 22 deg angle), it should be here by Fri/Sat they said. Should be a good weekend If I can play hookie from my chores

C) The 85 CJ (D300), front shaft running length is 33.75 after the M.O.R.E spring reverse install and your skid plate drop kit, the shaft is 32" short and 34.5 long so I'll need some length there. Angle is only 8-9 degrees.

D) Rear shaft...I dunno maybe a little longer too? Running length is 22.25 C-t-C, but the shaft is 20.5 short and 23.375 long, with a 22 deg angle. I'm sure I'll need more than 1 1/8 inches of drop .

I don't know the full droop on the springs, where the Jeeps are now It would take a bit to jack'm that high and measure.

Comments anyone? Sugestions? Like I said, I've never tried to figure this out before - how much slide do I need?

If you provided them with the running length when you ordered the shaft, it should be just right.

I'm looking for a limited slip diff for a D30 (small carrier-3:55 and down), something like a power lock or tru trac.

Tigger
10-14-2003, 08:06 PM
is that a 2bbl or a 4 bbl? would it be good on top my 360 (if its a 4bbl)

jeepsr4ever
10-15-2003, 06:11 AM
its a 4bbl, but would be great on top your 360, you need a different aftermarket intakeor adaptor to run in on cast iron.......but i wouldnt run it on cast iron, those intakes were junk

Here's an Ebay auction that might hold some merit 4 U.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33550&item=2437549070
It is a Carb and intake setup. Not bad price yet either.

Tigger

Thanks for the link, I may have to bid on that if for no other reason than the intake. Seems everythign I think about bidding on gets kinda out of my price range.

There is also a torker manifold for sale if you type in "jeep intake" into the search perameters. It is only about $50 right now.
Good Luck

Tigger
10-15-2003, 02:38 PM
The torker is not the one I am looking for, I would prefer the air gap or a performer, becuase of the range it works better in.

just dont buy a sp2p for AMC V8's whew what a piece of junk that was

fuzz401
10-15-2003, 04:46 PM
on a built 360 dont rule out the torker the air gap is a spin off of the torker and the air gap could be a pain with cold weather

jeepsr4ever

True, unsure how exactly tigger wants his motor, but i believe its low end torque and hp that developes at a low RPM

Tigger
10-15-2003, 05:18 PM
That is right... low end TQ to mid range for highway driving.

jeepsr4ever

in your climate an air gap or performer would work great, Fuzz does have a point on the air gap, it does run chitty in cold air, but so do most intakes

AlaskaJeepR
10-15-2003, 09:36 PM
My Performer ran just fine, even at -40F.
BTW, it gets FREAKIN cold here!!!

fuzz401

the performer and torker have the heat cross over the air gap does not the maine reason even with it blocked off it still heats up under it

Tigger
10-15-2003, 10:21 PM
I think I am pretty much sold on the performer intake, just need to find one now LOL .

How much for front CV driveshaft (99XJ)? I'm still looking for a D30 LSD, TrueTrac, Power-Loc or similar.

Hey Kid, sorry i thought the email was from someone else, it will be around $135 for the gears, 90 for the install kit for the 44 and 10 bucks less on both for the 30

kid4lyf
10-22-2003, 06:25 AM
I'm not sure we're on the same page. When you say gears are you referring to the differential? If so, what kind of limited slip diff is it? (TruTrac, Auburn, etc?) Also, how much for a CV style front driveshaft for a 99XJ

jeepsr4ever
10-22-2003, 09:16 AM
Currently I do not have a locker, all my trac-locks are sold, but i get stuff from time to time, the gears i sell go on the carrier, and i dont have many carriers left(open) as far as the cv driveshaft i dont have one in stock, but jeepers creeper will be doing all the custom orders very soon

kid4lyf
10-22-2003, 09:51 AM
No problem, if you find anything let me know. BTW, I'm not looking for a locker, I need a limited slip, preferably an aggressive one, like the Auburn. I'm running a Detroit in the rear, this is for the front (D30) of my daily driver.
