With the deeper geared Ford NP435 to swap behind Jeep engines would there be enough interest from Jeep T18 owners to be worthwhile to fab a 31 spline output shaft for the Jeep T18?
The Ford 435 adapter to the Ford 205/208 can be used on the Jeep T18 by bolting the top two matching holes in the T18 and drilling the bottom two holes, then pluging the two unused holes.
I have no idea what it would cost to turn a new T18 shaft to match, but nobody offers one....

I like those kinds of ideas, the tougher ones that take alot of measuring, I wonder if i could make an adator spud.......I can take a th400 from a quad put 23 splines on it cut the shaft and run a dana 300 without taking the shaft out, but i am refining the adaptor i make....lots of secret items i am working on, too bad i am the R&D department....LOL you know lone soldier

In planning my Ford NP203/GM NP205 doubler I would have opted not to swap my Jeep T18 for the Ford NP435 if I'd been able to just swap my output shaft, drill/thread and plug two holes.
The '80 and beyond Jeep T18 used a Ford pattern 31 spline output shaft for the NP208 in the JTrucks, but I don't know if that TC adaptor is the same as the one off the NP435 (probably as the bolt pattern changed on the back of the later Jeep T18), but the reverse gear is in a different place then the earlier T18s I think so the output shaft from one of those would not be a direct swap in for earlier Jeep T18s... as far as I know.
However, if the late model T18 adaptor is the same as the Ford NP435 and the output dimensions are the same then maybe an output from one of those could be used to mock-up a new puppy and save some fab figuring.

I have a Ford NP435 sitting on my porch, the adaptor to a Ford TC should be here any day. I have a digi cam, digi calipers and a good scale if there is any info I could get together.

It's all going to be sitting here for awhile as I start a new job tomorrow, so it's going to be available for any measurements or pics if the interest is there.

Like I said earlier, I have no idea what it would cost to turn outputs, but if they could sell for... say, under $250 they would probably be marketable. Why spend $400 for a 32 spline Dana 20 output when you could swap in a new T18 output and use a NP205.
Not sure, but I think you can swap in a Ford input on a Chevy 205 also, so if you could match the GM 205 to the adaptor (what would that take, a second set of holes drilled in it?) to the T18 you could run the front driveshaft down either side.
