Another idea, how about a cam thrust plate or retainer using a torrington bearing for roller cam applications? Great job on everything else, definately putting some of the copper head gaskets on my other 401 when I get around to putting it together!

Moondog I have to heard of this but have not seen any pictures. I read last year in a forum called amcforum.pub186.ezboard.com/bamcforum that there was someone making thrust bearings. I do not know how it turned out but i liked the idea. I believe that UHMW plastic or plastics like phenol and polyurethane would make good impact resistant bearing races for thrust bearings................... :-| I may make a prototype next week
