Converting to automatic

just playing with the idea of converting my 73 cj5 to and automatic and was wondering if anybody on the list has done or know of anyone that has done it before,, I am getting to old to manually shift the thing and besides this thing has to much power with fiberglass body and all the mods to the motor..

Yeah seen it done it....PITA

Depending on your lift you may need a extreme high angle driveshaft, which can be bought from high angle driveline. But is it really worth it?

in a cj-5 there is just not enough room for a auto wheel base to short

Fuzz dont know where you got your info on this but I just finished putting and automatic in this cj5 about 2 hours ago and all went pretty good. now just have to get the driveshaft cut monday and then try it out..

fuzz has never been one for long winded reply's but i think he meant that your angle will be too steep with an auto and a lift..I think thats what he meant..LOL Anyways ive seen it and done it and i wouldnt do it agian without a cv driveshaft...or if it was a show jeep....LOL hey tell us how it turns out ok? :sa:
