Trans question

I have a small, and hopefully simple question. I was thinking of switching transmissions(I have the A727 in there now) What transmission can bolt in place of the 727 with little modification. Im particullarly interested in something with over-drive. or would I be better off just rebuilding one?

their is no tranny that will simply botl in that is a overdrive, but you could use a adaptor ring from Advanced adaptor around $300 shipped and a 700r4 (good overdrive tranny) Other wise a th400 from a waggie with a 2wd tailshaft conversion or a th400 from a older AMC car will work

th400 from a older AMC car will work < I dont think they ever used a th-400 in the cars it was a jeep tranny most were tork flights or borg warner trannys

HAD THESE SAME THOUGHTS WHEN I HAD A 727 BEHIND A 440 MOPAR, ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT GOING TO A MT. WITH AN OVERDRIVE 5TH GEAR.
