Is there anyone that makes motor mounts to put a 360 into a YJ frame? Could i Just grind off the engine mounts on the frame already and use CJ engine mounts? Or am i going to need to make my own? I am just trying to get things prepared for the next stage of my CJ build up and want to try and avoid any snags if possible

found them p/n 713120 (weld in) $164 They are the same part number as the CJ part. Isn't they YJ frame a little wider? ANd would that not make a difference?

Made my own. Left the Frame mounts on the YJ frame and built a angle braket off of the motor and used the chevy to jeep conversion mount pucks(@$30) Just have to drill out the frame mount for the puck sleve. I run the stock exhaust man., single pipe out the back with the drivers side coming off of the manifold and forward around the oil pan and back to the pass. side and straight back.

Cheaper yet,

Used a reese hitch.

was 3x3 box tube that was at least 3/16 thick ( i forget now) and had 1/4 inch plate on each side when I cut it so it made perfect rise/run with frame rails. Sit's nice and snug too. Can completely Flat skid my YJ with a TJ727 auto. I'll try to find some pics to post sometime. It weird to explain but it came out perfect.

I also got the wiring harnass I made for the v8 swap to a YJ with a 4.2L and Pictures of it, all works good

edit: I got 23 inches of clearance to lowest point on my YJ, it's completely flat skidded, soa'ed on stock springs up front and extended rear with XJ springs, running 35's soon 36 tsl

I put a 360 in that had original 50k miles each cyclinder pressure tested fine. Thing sat for 4 months started after turning over once. I was like holy poop, cuz I'm a FI fan being an electrical engineer. The harnass I made up I have complete computer drawings for and instructions of what to eleminate, I might team up with MC maybe I gotta PM him send him the layout so he can have it built.

i got lot more bracing in there right now, I dont' have a good top down picture, but because the square tube is like 2.5'' square I can fit an Air rachet in there and use the stock motor mounts so they are dirt cheap to replace, all that reese hitch was 1/4 inch steel btw

From lil north of Syracuse, NY small town called Rodman which is right near Watertown.

I've been known to be out in NH and that area alot through VT. I can come by sometime this summer with the YJ, it's totally street legal. Just hope gas is below 3 a gallon
