make- jeep, model-american eagle 4x4. and getting parts is fun cause
the jeep dealer can find most of the drivetrain parts under cj-7 listings
the others are listed as eagle.

Had some other buggies too and a '66 Veedub van I treated like a 4x4 till it broke the frame. Treated a bunch of cars like 4x4s too.

Man, that is a LOT of hardware. That was all in what 5 years? :?

Lets see if I can remember them since high school...
'68 VW beetle (almost new!! And that was the one that caught fire!), '64 MG (blew the engine), '72 MGB, 64 Comet rag top (powder blue w/white top  ), a 70's sumthin POS Maverick and a Forest Green B-210 with baby moon hubcaps :? Starting my 4WD daze ... 76 FJ-40 Land Cruiser (rolled), 75 CJ-5 (end over end totalled), M38A1 (stolen after I got it running and painted), Chevy K10 (gas hogggggg traded in 79), Ford F-250 (beat to $hit but ran well), 85 Scrambler (http://www.bulltear.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1431)that I stretched 18" (traded to a friend of mine who's kid stole it, stripped it to the bone and somehow rolled over it into a ditch, probably the easy way to grab the axles), Chevy 2500 (had for 10 yrs 100K mikes -traded for the 'Burban). Some where in this littany were 3 Jeep Cherokee's. 1 we traded, and my wife totalled 2.
Rides I still have: 85 CJ-7; 87 Wrangler, '03 Dodge 2500 (5.7 Hemi). The wife has had her own stuff I had to take care of (2)280ZX's and the Cherokees, and a POS Windstar. Now she has an '03 Suburban (4x4 version).
OH yeah, Honda 175, then a 450, Kawasaki 250 enduro, Yamaha 400 and a Suzuki GS 850 shaft drive. That was the end of the riding days when I got KO'd on a So Cal freeway at 70 MPH
I won't get into the tractors 49 Farmall, 55 Ford, etc and the farm trucks since I just drove'm but didn't own'm

That's the majority of the 4x4s I've had since 1975 (I don't want to get started on the cars! Lets just say I had a 34 acre parking lot and lots of energy once upon a time!)

Dear Mudrat and Jim, I just want to say thank you for making me feel OK about my automotive obsession! The most vehicles I have ever owned at one time was four. 'Course none of them have been cool 'cept for the Jeeps. I have owned a few of college type cars: 84 corolla, 89 sentra, 88 ranger, 79 CJ7, 77 CJ7. 34 acres! Sheesh!!

I have considered myself to be a "jeep lover" for quite some time, however until last year, I havn't actually owned a jeep. My parents had a 97 Grand Cherokee, but that was really more of a luxury cruiser, than anything you'd be comfortable taking on the trail (Though I know from experience that it was quite capable) I have owned 5 trucks, 1 car, 1 jeep, and 1 van. 88' 4x2 f-150, 95' 4x2 f-150, 93' bronco, 78' f-250 460 4x4, 00' 4x4 4.0 ranger. 85' RX-7 that's waiting for a 350 swap to be completed (ALMOST DONE!) 86 3/4 ton chev van that was cut apart, and the chassis is awaiting a project I have yet to think of, and finally a 78 CJ-7 that is being held together by it's paint.

So, there's MY list.

I had an RX7 with a blown motor that I stuck a Toyota 2TG turbo motor in. That was a fun little car! (not nearly as fast as the RX2 with a 3 rotor twin turbo and Mann racing trans though!)

I even stuffed the rotary motor into my '66 VW van with a 5 speed bugpack trans. Probably was the fastest VW van ever! 165 mph if there was no head or side wind!
