Found a bad wiper governor in the YJ today - can you get a stock part number SF89 5600 0428? It's a black box; 7 connectors each side and fits beteen the steering column (wiper plug of course) and the harness?
It's item #8 in figure 8-100, 5600 0428 in the 87-93 parts catalog; or item #8, J372 8007 in the 81-86 catalog.

I THINK AN XJ HAS THE SAME THING, AND I PLUGED THE TWO ENDS TOGETHER ONCE TO GET BY UNTIL I HAD THE PARTS, WORKED ON HI AND LO, NO DELAY OFCOURSE. :-|
