Ok, i moved this to the jeeps section now, since it has been delivered and I dont need to hide it if my dad browses the forum. I will update the post as i find more information, we do more work to it.
From the willys america restoration guide, The vin looks like it is a 1963 with a 4cyl motor. It does not look like this motor has ever been swapped, but we do know the previous owner had some vin verification problems when he went to register it, and CT DMV just issued him a new one.
Dec 26th, my dad spent about 1 hour on it, got it running and was able to drive it into his garage. The radiator has a small leak, and it appears the heater core might have a small leak as well. Also there are no brakes at all. We are thinking it is the master but will find out more when we have time to dig into it. I saw herm the overdrive guy makes a dual master cylinder for it for a $150. That may be a way to go

Yeah he did a "Wicked Willys" Project that looks great. But we think we are going to keep this one close to stock.
