I have a 999 auto in my 86 cj7. I want to put lock up in this. Can i just get a lock up converter to a 999 with lock up and put in my auto , or do i have to change anyting else???? Anybody done this before ??

I don't think so. The hydraulic pressure for the lock-up converter comes in thru the main shaft. It's hollow, and I believe there are special ports inside the valve body. If the swap is even possible, it would also take a full rebuild of the trans.
