I searched high and low for new speedo gears for a QT when I went to larger tires on my 73 J4000. Everyone I talked to said they are no longer available. Is there a speedo gear in the case now? You may be able to get a converter that goes inline with your cable to adjust for different gears/tires.
Anybody know where I can get a "converter?"
