Looking to upgrade my alternator now that I have the new Serpentine system for my 401! Any recommendations? I was also looking for a new starter.... running only 9.85:1 comp.

I had a powermaster ultra starter in my amx, it lasted about 2 years. I now have a starter from bulltear and it is working great. What alternator setup do you have now?
I'm running OEM, and I don't know how old.... but I thought it was time to upgrade now that I have my completed 401.
Is it a motorolla or a delco type alternator? If it is a motorolla I highly suggest switching to a delco 10si (found in almost all gm vehicles from the late 70's to the late 80's or so). A delco 10si can be made to fit the motorolla bracket or you can purchase a bulltear bracket (much easier with a bulltear bracket).
