I have never seen a main stud girdle for the AMC V8, I know they are used with quite a bit of success on Ford two-bolt-main small blocks.
Does anyone besides me think they would be a good idea for AMC's, especially 304 and 360 blocks?

My machinist has made a few that he plans to sell over the internet, as soon as he gets a new computer. Made from 1/2in steel. I'll try to get some pictures.
OK, here are a couple pics. These are'nt available just yet. He's still working out pan clearence issue. 1/2in steel, ARP studs. Cost will probably be in the $200.00 range.

That looks really good :? I think if I were building enough motor to warrant a main girdle, I would likely ditch the internal pickup and go external. I'm thinking about trying my hand at fabricating an oil pan, I would like to look at a Milodon or Canton and see what kind of baffle arrangment they use. BTW, that is quite possibly the cleanest block I have ever seen
The block was shot peened. Destresses the block.
Ahhh, I see. 'Gonna be a fast one, eh? :sa:
Would like to get my name on the list?
OK, it's Sat night, I've had a couple - but still don't understand why a Stud needs a girdle :? :!:
The AMC stud girdle was printed in performace american style the book that said it may help.
