Scout Dana 44 Axles Swap? - leaf spring mounts

I put a scout 44's in my 81 CJ7. For the rear, I just moved the spring perches, so no big deal. For the front, I had to make new mounts for the leaf springs. This was just a quick and dirty way to do it with some big fat angle. I should have made extra's to bolt on, now that I think about it. I believe this was 4x4x5 angle that I used.

For the front of the springs, I guess I forgot to take pics. Basically, I used flat steel and drilled and tapped holes into it. I'll get some pics of that one as well, next time I'm in MN. So, if anybody is doing this swap, that was the perfect size angle to use.

Yeah it was nice and easy. I sat there staring at it for a while, then that just popped into my head. Ended up being much much simpler than I thought it would be, and probably much stronger than the way I was gonna do it. I can't find the pics that I took of the top side of that bracket, but I'll get some shots when I get back to the shop.
