i have been hearing some bad stuff about these cams ,anyone on her haveing any probs with a newer summit cam?

Yes sir, I have had a terrible time with 2 Current summit camshafts......they must hav ehad a bad run of them

when was the bad ones purchasesd? jeepsforever when i talked to you you had said that you were sold on those cams and they had uped there quality.???

its true....in production you get some good you get some bad....a antiwalk kit will take the mystery out of it

talked to my dad this morning and he sent back a summit cam that he
bought for a 427 chevy as he put it"the quality was piss poor and i will
never accept another product or order from summit ever". it was in ruff condition when delivered. with 50+ years as a mechanic i respect his
opinion. he would never put anything less than top flight parts in any engine he builds. the cams he uses are comp and crane.
