80 model spirit

I have been looking at a brown two door hatchback it has a 5 speed with a four cylinder motor. Luxury items ac and wheels. Bad items pushed in hood, pushed in roof and peeling paint near hatchback and on quarters also door handles outside do not work and tail light lenses missing outers only. Price only 2-250 or make offer. Visually overall condition good except for hood and roof and that does not go into the body lines. Have not looked underneath it yet for rust out areas though. body style looks like the 82 eagle. I am thinking 4.0 swap if I purchase it.

well, if there is little or no rust, the hood can be r/r with good parts and
you can fix the roof then maybe you should go for it. 4.0 swap
would be really good. it just my opinion.

been reading up on this vehicle model, something about crossmembers and shock towers needing to be changed for V8's how does that work for four cylinder cars being converted to I6? Does anything need to be changed or will it bolt in with small changes?

that i am not sure about as my eagle is a I-6 258. maybe mc might know for sure.
