Wow Man are you having too much fun or what? you know I'm pretty sure that some of the things I have seen you doing here are not only against the laws of nature they are just too funky for words.. .. What I want to know is are you a crack dealer or does the money tree just sprout better in a warmer climate??

Yeah it is an old school. A church that was closing down owned it and was closing down and getting rid of assets. I made them a realy rediculious, less than 1/3 what they were asking, and they accepted. Then I LET them finance it. It was built in the mid 70s and is 10000 sqft on 6 acres. WARM?? I live near Blacksburg VA it the Mtns. The BJ has less than 3500 in it with nearly all parts on hand now. The Willys cost 5k for the body but I have less than 2000 in eng/trans/axles/frame/suspension. I am REALY frugal (cheep). I retired to build hot rods, after 3 heart attacks (figured someone was trying to tell me something).

Can you post some pics of the drivetrain together and dimensions of the adaptors you need? After talking on the phone I am curious even more

The first set of pics show the doubler setup using the GM adapter. In my case I would be using a GM 203 rangebox and Ford 205. The stack would go Lakewood scattershield/case section of big spline toploader/adapter/TH400-203 adapter/ gm 203 rangebox/adapter/gm th400-208 adapter/Ford 205. The issues would be how large the output shaft is in the toploader, all indexing would be done by the gm adapters, the th400-208 would require minor mods to use with ford 205. Plusses would be this style of adapter would be useable for all combos, the input gear for the 203 can be 27/31/32 spline.

I was asked why I didn't just buy a 4500 and an Atlas. The Bj should have over 500 hp/tq and I can't imagine an atlas putting up with that very long. Also the toploader cost $75 (a while back), 435/205 came with chassis but I bought spares for $50 ea, the 203 was $25, the whole truck has bout 3500 in it total that wouldnt buy the 4500/Atlas. In a more traditional Jeep the 435/203/205 setup shouldn't be too long and bolts to Jeep engs and behind most Jeep engs should be indestructable(I know, I have friends that could break an anval with a ballpeen). I enjoyed our discussion today and hope we can work something.
