    It's alive once more!!

    The engine runs great.. Nickel cover and adapter. that stainless fill tube alone must give 10HP... lol

    Question is: I've run the engine around town with some cheap oil for about a few hours and am dumping the oil before the next time I start it. Winter is coming in a few months, I barely make 1000 Km a year on it, what should I put in there for oil? I'm planning on putting a block heater for the cold starts, I like to start it at least every weekend when I can. This being the first normal oil change after the rebuild, I got some 10w30 Valvoline for it. Am I on the right track here?

    you are on the right track 10w-30 for the winter months is a std. figure

    I am glad the cover worked out so great for you, I run Nc's on all my AMC's. We do have a winter blend coming out for AMC's 0w50 but its not ready yet

    I would more than gladly get some of the oil you sell, but it would get to over 10$ a quart by the time it got here..
