Gonna need a bell housing adaptation as I haven't been able to document one was ever built for the '74 IHC (AMC) 401.

That binder tranny is a 2wd type, was used for divorced cases in 4wd applications. I'm not aware of it's output dimensions or if it has ever been adapted to a T-case as a married unit.

Not an adaptor, that's part of the drive flange for mounting the e-brake.

If you are interested in this tranny... I searched a lil more and found someone had built an adaptor to marry a Ford NP205. I wrote to see if I can get a blue print for the plate.
The front input is 1 1/4" x 10 spline, haven't figured out how the bellhousing could be adapted yet... but wrote a couple guys.

Ok, AMC 258 & 401s were used in IH rigs, they obviously have the same bell bolt patterns at the engine, IH had a cast iron bell that fit the manual trannies (including the long shaft T1 to the 258... so that would be the bell housing to mate the T34/35/36 5 speed. I know of a place out in OR that rebuilds the trannies if anyone is interested.
