    AMC 360 Cam and Timing

    Just got done installing my rebuilt 360 into my CJ and being that the AMC engine is not something that I have a lot of experience with I have a few questions.

    I had it built by a motor shop and asked that they install a RV type cam. They put in a Crower 45915, Intake dur 258- lift .448, exhaust dur 264-lift .450. Does this seem like a RV cam to you?

    Also what should my advance be? I set it to about 33 deg at high RPM. Is this right for an AMC? It has a dual plane intake and truck avenger, other than that it's basically stock.

    manual = 3 to 7

    Sounds like a std mild/RV grind 2 me

    33 with the advance hooked up sounds about right

    thanks for the reply. Sounds like I was pretty close on the timing. It's good to know that that cam was pretty much what I asked for as well.
