Probly only a automatic. MFG's almost always include a auto with a diesel due to the off the go torque. Cracked bellhousings in chryslers R&D department with the cummins made for that decision in the trucks of years past but who knows with this jeep...

I still say they missed the boat in not keeping the FSJ body style and updating the cheesey interior..Think about it if the motorig public will buy and excursion or exploder or any of the other behemoths. they will certainly buy the grand waggy or the J series trucks. after all they would be considered "midsize" by todays standards.

Semi-classic Jeep looks, CRD power plant (awesome). Pull the back seats out for lockable storage and the bed for smaller load. Screw the fold down rear - sounds like the Avalanch POS. The thing I don't like is the small door on the drivers side. Why make somebody walk around the truck to open 2 doors to get into the back. That small access on the drivers side won't be much good if yo mount a lrager spare on the rack - if you can?!?!?! Real Jeepers don't hve stock tires!
