Do you have or did you have an Auto tranny in it? If so yes, the purple probably is the neutral safety sw wire. If you look at the stock starter solinoid there is a 3rd post terminal for the neutral safety sw. There are 2 kinds of Jeep starter relays, with and without the post for STD and Auto trannies. On my YJ I ran it and grounded it at the (STD) relay. But it's there if I want to use a 3 point relay (or put the STD relay in and install a cutout switch for a 'theft protection gizmo' )

Went back to my original post. Easier I think.

Updated running gear; rear D60, 35 spline, 4:88s, 37" tires, 6" RC SUA kit, 10.7" rear discs, .... Replacing front axle next.

Not sure how to attach pics. Will try the car domain website again.

PS: Oh ya, new Bulltear 8 qt pan. Still holding 40 psi idle, hot oil pressure. Your midplate and remote filter also. Good stuff, thanks again.

PPS: Matt, those 2 rear bolts on the pan were a royal PITA to tighten, no room to sneak an extension through the gap with the trans cover or swivel socket with the AX15...any secrets? Did the 1/16th turn at a time trick w/ box wrench.

    Really not "complaining."

Just looking to see if there was some alternative method I have not thought of.
