258/232 for sale

Something I found out today, there is a difference in blocks between 79 and 87 also. The 87 has bungs cast into the rear drivers side that are tapped to mount the throttle bracket assy. The 79 doesn't have those.
Also the flex-plates are different.
How do I know? The engine I got from Chris and had rebuilt is a 79, what we're putting it in is an 87 and the parts don't match up So it's going to be NEXT week I get it back - but I'll be in Charleston again!!!

there's a decoder around someplace. post the vin, i'll dig up the decoder
