Anyone gonna be there?
Here is an email I revceived about the show:
Jack,
The show will be held on the big field directly across the street from the Atlanta Athletic Club on hwy 141, about 5 miles from the hotel. Thursday, will be just a registration day and then we will have a cruise-in to the Varsity jr. off of Jimmy Carter. Friday will be a swap meet at the show field and continued registration at the hotel. Saturday will be the actual car show. You can find more information at our website http://www.peachstateamo.com If you need any further information, don't hesitate to contact me.

Well, MC and I have already worked something out for check in... As for the pics - I left my camera at home, so maybe I will buy a disposable and get them put on CD, or you might have to deal with the crappy camera phone pics...

I made it to the drive in at the Varsity Jr. (restaurant) and to the swap meet on friday. Saturday I ended up looking at houses (which I finally got approval for today!) and had to work that night. I did go buy a disposable camera, just gotta take a few more pics to finish off the roll (was hoping to finish it at the show saturday). I'll get them developed when I get back from a trip to the mountains this weekend and get them posted! Lots of cool stuff there - Indy had a booth there showing off some stuff. There was another company there (an ebay company) that had a ton of cool stuff for AMC V8's. This is their website on thier business card, but it's closed:

They had 291 heads, a couple of dual carb intakes that are out of production, heck, you name it, they had it! Anywho, after drooling there for a while, I met a bunch of cool people and tons of cool cars. Well, I'm sitting here with a 102 degree fever - gonna go crawl back in bed. I'll post pics next week!

Wow, just found this thread
I went up there on Friday to try and go through the swap meet early. But after not getting the day off and running a call downtown at 4pm when I finnaly got to the swap meet, everyone was packing it up
Saturday's car show was HOT but the swap meet was on full swing. Luckily I found a set of 6291s, hope they aren't cracked. All in all I felt I achieved my goal if they shoould prove to be usable.
AMO tends to be more towards cars than Jeeps. I've been to two shows now and there are always a couple Jeeps in the mix of over 100 cars. I don't think it is prejudice as all forms of AMCs are there, even Nashs. I just see it as cars are more popular with AMO people. Amo meets do have a lot of swap meeters as well as companies selling AMC stuff from engine parts, body parts, signs, shirts and even model cars. So if by chance the Nationals comes near your area, check it out after all it is free and you might find something you need or a source in which to get that next broken hard to find part for your car or Jeep.
Lifted, I didn't realize you were from/lived in the Atlanta area. I live on the south side.
