I would imagine that a drivetrain swap from a wrangler, liberty, etc would be the ticket for you then. Just an idea....

sorry i'm late to this party. been busy at work and with the girls school stuff. there is alot of thing you can do. for what i do with it(desert driving
mountain goating, and all around beast of burden) i have added a 2" lift
to the rear and i am trying to find a 1" lift for the front. the tires are
215/75-15 liberator all-terrain radials. things i will be adding is a hijack,
2 full size spare tires, tube bumpers with hitch recievers, 9000lbs winch,
a large roof rack, 3 jerrycan holders for 2 gas cans and 1water, an np 229
t-case, and a larger fuel cell(27 gal). the engine will be overhauled and
a metal valve cover and ignition upgrades will be done. i do have the T.S.M. from amc so i can work on the beast. my eagle is used everyday and has over 223,000 miles on it. yes you can go places that the people at the jeep jamboree say that the eagle is not able to go just ask me.
    later, rollen
