401 NEEDED IN GEORGIA WILL DRIVE TO PICK UP

Does anyone have an AMC 401 near the southeast? I live in Georgia, but will drive to pick it up.

Hey Dave! I just moved to Atlanta (Duluth) - still unpacking all the boxes. I don't have any spare 401's, but if ya feel like having a couple of beers and staring at a dissassembled one, swing on by! Have you tried the GFSJ forums?

Thanks for the info. Doesnt look like that situation is going to work out for me.......too many "if's" that cant be answered, and the motor is not set up the way I want it. IOW, I would be buying a modified 401 that wasnt modified the way I want it so I would be better off getting a running virgin

Thank you again & keep your eyes open for another deal. BTW, I still want to take a look at your motor and get some advice.

Hey Dave, I found this site from Alex who runs PORC. You might find one there. Supposed to be mostly Northen GA people on there.

Check e-bay now, there is a "std" bore 401 in parts for sale in NY(?) They started the bid at $600 though, quite a lot IMO. Contact him when it doesn't sell though

I have located what appears to be a good 401.....even has the std flywheel & performer intake.
