    no oil to valve train 232 inline six(1972)

    i'm not getting any oil to top of engine,took valve cover off, tried to run wire down through #5 rocker support,could only get in about 5 inches
    ,depth of head ----HELP?

    I would take the push rods out and clean them if need be but first taking a look down the oil feed hole.

    If this is an old problem, your rocker shaft may be 180 out. Or # 3 cam bearing may have spun, or be blocked.

    232/258 oiling system from 71 tsm. Rocker shaft, not cam shaft. Oil feeds through #3 cambearing up through the tower that supports the rocker shaft. If the rocker shaft is installed 180 out, then the feed hole would be blocked off.

    Has the head gasket been replaced recently? The later head gasket may not have the oil hole for the early block.

    i pulled head off and i deffintly beleive that cam bearing has spun
    also found 1 burnt valve ,piston slop . motor needs complete overhaul.
    if anyone in central missouri has a good 232 inline 6 for sale
    i would apreciate hearing about it
