Yeah the eagles have D-30s in front, and 35s in the rear, I'm not sure that my rear axle is a twin grip tho. Being full time i dont know why it would need it anyway. And my rears have the 3.54 ratios, because it was a 4cyl.
As per the motor, the only upgrades i'm planning on is an intake and exhaust, and an HEI dist. and sometime in the future a throttle body EFI.
of course the motor is being rebuilt so maby 20 or 30 over on the bore.

? Should i look into taking the t-case apart just to check things out, a rebuild kit for that is like 250. Once in a while when i was driving it i thought i heard the chain binding or somthing. Never slipped, never found any shavings. But was certainly the t-case making a light noise.
Ever hear a crotch rocket jamin' gears? And you can hear the drive chain slap a little each time? Sounded similar to that.... but different.

it would be a very good idea to have the t-case looked at . sounds like
you have excessive play in the drivechain from just plain old age.
when you drain the t-case make sure to check for any fluids other than what the book says the case should have in it.
