    AMX Drag Cars

Here's a "webshots" folder with pics of this car:

The next car is an 11.3 NHRA Stock AMX belonging to Jeff Lee. It is the quickest AMC to ever compete in NHRA Stock Eliminator.

    Typical SS/AMX without lettering:

You'll have to come to the AMO Nationals in Denver in 2007 (July 4th weekend). My club (Colorado AMC) is sponsoring the event. We are in talks with the current owners of the Drag-On-Lady and Pete's Patriot to have them at the event and do a few exehibition runs at Bandimere Speedway.

Should I want to gutt the body and build a complete chassis with rollcage for the soul purpose of reducing weight and building a strong platform for a lot of HP. Where would one find guides and manuels to aid in such an undertaking?

I would hate to screw a perfectly good body up and need another to start all over again as this will be my first attempt.

Anybody know where #37 is in MT? It was raced at my home dragstrip! I've won there!

The intake is an Edelbrock crossram. Edelbrock part # STR-11. It was available from the AMC dealer with an AMC part #, or direct from Edelbrock without an AMC part #. They were standard on the SS/AMX. They've been discontinued for about 30 years. They pop up on eBay once in a while, usually run between $2500 and 3500 depending if they have carbs and linkages.

Good only for very high RPM engines (drag cars), probably wouldn't work well on the street.

Here's an old ad for one.
