Oil filter adapter gasket - gasket maker, shellac, oil, etc?

Do I need to use any of those or RTV when I install the oil filter adapter to the timing chain cover? Or just bolt it on dry? I bought both Ni-plated from you, and plan on using the thin gasket. Also, would coating the oil pump gears with Comp Cams assembly lube hurt? Thanks! :)

Dry ...no need for sealants. Also make sure you can use the thinner gasket. Install and then try to turn the drive over by hand using a screw driver in the timing cover...if it binds at all then use the thicker gasket
