    Leaking Oil at Oil Adaptor/Filter

Have a built 401 w/ forged pistons, cam, balanced, runs nice but leaking a small amount of oil around (it appears at the oil filter adaptor and oil filter). Does not seem to be comming from sensor, adaptor/timing cover, oil pan or timing cover..

Any ideas- ordered a new filter adaptor- thinking maybe it's not flush and will replace the plunger/spring- by the way where can I get a standard spring/plunger- not the high torque? Also using a Wix 51258 filter.

    Thanks

Sometimes a small casting flaw can cause a oil leak along the long sloping neck of the oil filter adaptor. Check there
