I need a 727 rebuilt for my 401 Rambler. Are the Torqueflight and AMC's Torque command the same tranny's internally? What about the oil pan?

Just did, Thanx.
And for everyone else whom should stumble across this question:
Yes they are the same in every way exept the bellhousing part of the case and the dip tube. As well as the 904 too.
And should you have a th400, same scenario.
One caveat to that with the TH400. In the first year or two after AMC acquired Kaiser Jeep, they ran out the stock of TH400's with the BOP (Buick/Olds/Pontiac) bellhousings. (Kaiser was using the Buick 350 in the wagoneer when AMC bought out Jeep.) They used a factory adapter ring between the new AMC engines and the transmission. By 74 or so, they had the AMC bellhousing TH400's in every Jeep.Originally Posted by Gremlin4ever
