ProStock trend - SHORTEST decks, pushrods, & rods

ProStock trend - SHORTEST decks, rods, & pushrods that'll work!!!!

I just read that over at the AM Forum, I think it was in the stickey PHR crap gas shootout thread.

The dwell at either end of the stroke is not so important as lightness, & shorter is lighter.

Another plus for AM's engine design team!!!

I wouldn't say they are using the shortest connecting rods possible, they are still around 1.7:1 R/S ratio. Even though the most important thing is packaging constraints I can never see Pro Stock using R/S ratios around 1.5:1, but for a more average motor ratios like that surely don't hurt!
