    hei wiring and electric choke

for the hei distributor all i need is to run a key on 12v source to the distributor. can i use the same source to wire my electric choke?
how do i wire my stock CJ tach to the distributor, which wire to run to the tach output on the distributor. the original ran off of the negative coil terminal which was wired in by the last owner who butchered the wire harness to work with a V8 and made lots of splices. Im having a difficult time finding what was original and what was spliced in.

The electric choke wire is only on in run, it's not on in start. So if you use that, it will crank and crank and crank.....

Just use the "+" coil wire from the stock ignition.

Either that or tap the red/white wire that runs into your alternator.
