Overtime Pay - Do you Get it or not ????

A new revised Fair Labor Standards Act took effect August 2004.
I was fired back in July 2006 cause I refused to accept a company policy
that claimed my job was salaried exempt, no time and half for overtime.
I consulted with an employment attorney and the US Dept of Labor,
both agreed my job and position was not salaried exempt and my employer
owed me the half time back pay for all the overtime I had worked.
I had the attorney mail a letter to my employer in January 2006.
They told me I could have the money they owed me if I quit
and not to work anymore overtime for any reason.
It took them 6-7 months to come up with enough lies and B.S. to fire me.
In one case I was written up as insubordinate for not working overtime.

So I'm just curious, may I ask,

do you get paid time and a half for overtime ?

I get the same check every time. I do get flex time but have no oppertuinity to use it and it is not tracked so I cannot use it later.

one good thing about my job is the 288 hous of PTO (paid time off) that I get each year. but currently I have 240 hours banked cause I have not had a chance to take any time off except when my daughter was born, last December.

Not me, I am here 14 to 16 hrs some days, and am on call 24/7..but with two departments and 30 people..go figure.
My people are on OT after 8 or over 40.. time and a half and doubletime for holidays.

    Whats overtime?
Here at the stealership we were told NO OT for any reason about a good 2 yrs ago. But if we do go over our 40hr's they have no choice but to pay us 1.5 . As for holiday's if we work the day before or the day after we get a floater.

I do, but overtime usually only happens for things like required training or a call in for sick coverage, when the bosses have no choice. Otherwise it's a straight 40.

We get 1.5x for over 8 per day or 40 per week. Over 48 hours/week we get 2x (haven't seen that in years). Holidays we get 1.5x on top of a paid day so they call it 2.5x.

    Almost the same here.

Get 1.5x for anything over 40 hours per week, holidays is 1.5x plus regular time so 2.5x sunday pay is 1.5x
